Needless to say, by the photos. Fuerte Fitness’ Opening has been postponed to another day. This winter storm is very beautiful but not fun to drive in. Denny Way was shut down Sunday and people were out sledding on it! For those of you who do not know, Seattle is full of hills and cars should not have been down those streets!

Come and join us this Sunday at 5pm.
1225 N. 45 St. Seattle WA 98103 Open for limited memberships and training. These are the new colors! We are waiting for the plumbing inspection before we can finish! So pray that it goes smooth! The picture on the left was the truck on the curb. This was because Eric at usedgym equipment forgot to tell me that UPS only delivered the rubber flooring to the to the curb not inside....Big detail to forget. They were 3000 lbs! I working training people and painting and doing odd ends! These pictures were taken April 27, 2008. This is my little bear! He is the one who stayed with for this summer for the 24 hour boot camp and intern in my business. My sister Cristina’s oldest son (for those of you who don’t know).
He has got some exciting things going on in his life..He ran his third race last weekend and just got accepted into the amigos program http://www.amigoslink.org/ I am very proud of you! Keep up the good work! He has learned how to be committed to a goal and achieve it. I asked him if I could put up this pictures he said “Yes, it will keep me on track. It’s been challenges these last couple weeks with school and the preping for the program” He said journaling has really helped him. I heard someone say you need to be the scientist of your own spiritual experience don’t let yourself off the hook...I say it’s the same thing with fitness....Sometimes you need a little push, but depending on who you are..some times you need to kick your own ass back on track! Be good yourself! That’s real love! Getting my sisters to run a race with me was one of my goals for this year! It finally happened this weekend with my sister, Cristina Villarreal! Second sister, the first was my sister, Alicia, she did the Race to Robie Creekin 2004. Cristina just finished one in her home town, Bremerton, WA. I am so proud you, hermana! (my crying right now.) Not to mention my cousin Romy, that was a bonus. You see, my familia has always struggled with their weight and to run a 5k IS a big deal. I hate to say this but, a lot of Mexicanos gain weight in the United States. Maybe because food is our culture and running isn’t. But also activity isn’t in our vocabulary, well, if it isn’t dancing. I mean my abuelito walked across the border from Nuevo Ladero for a nickel, and that was probably the only exercise he got outside of work. Two generations later, here we are and my sister, who never thought she could run, did it a 3 mile run!
She took ‘losing weight’ seriously this year. Both Cristina and her son, Noe are doing it as a family. My cousin and her family are doing it as a city. I go to Bremerton every month to weigh and measure them. Noe came to stay with me over the summer as an intern in my business. The real motive was to lose weight the extra weight he put on over last year’s school year, learn how to cook healthy yet good and to workout. It was 24Hr boot camp and he’s taking it to the rest of the family. Every Monday Wednesday and Friday he was up by 5:30am (my little bear loves to sleep)! Also, Tuesday and Thursday he did my PE for Adults class! I love my job but it is also my life and when my family gets it (we are stubborn) and to see Cristina, Noe and my cousin Romy cross the finish line, it made my soul smile. Los amo! Thanks for being there Daniel...It’s already a part of our lifestyles. I can’t believe it is happening. This has been one of my dreams and goals since I left 24 Hour Fitness in January of 2004. It signed a 5 year lease for my new training studio with all your prayers I’ll open up by the end of October. It is 1225 N 45th Street, Seattle WA 98103. It is in the Wallingford Neighborhood. With it 5 blocks from Green Lake we will be able to have trainers train their clients in and out doors. Check of www.fuertefitness.com
My new training studio! Yay! Volunteer Park has been such a great space to work out at. We’ve had a good turn out of people from all different fitness levels. Lots of space to spread out. (No need to worry you will have a good workout but have fun at the same time!)
The only thing that is up for debate is: Should we keep Saturday or just do Tuesday and Thursday. So come out and Saturday morning and vote for what ever days you want. Make this life a game worth playing! AD My nephew ran his first 5k race which was at Alki Beach. It was one of my friend Annette’s race. She has one every month and they are fun and changes locations for scenery.
